Area on the periphery of Tsuyama Castle, Tsuyama City
This facility was made by converting the Haida branch of the former Senoo Bank, which was completed in 1920, into a center of artistic and cultural creation and dissemination. It has been designated as an important cultural property by Okayama Prefectural Government. It includes a courtyard paved with red brick tile, a main wooden structure reminiscent of temple and shrine architecture, a strongroom building made of stone, and a red brick warehouse. Its appearance still conveys the florid architectural style of the period of “Taisho Romanticism,” and look of the street in those days.
