The Makido Cave acquired its name (literally meaning “wonderful cave”) after the haiku poet couple Tekkan and Akiko Yosano praised it as being ki ni michita do (“a cave full of wonders”). It is a limestone cave with a total length of 450 meters.
The interior is illuminated with colorful LED lights that make a magical world unfold in it.
