Born in Okayama Prefecture and began her artistic journey exploring ceramic techniques at Okayama Prefectural University‘s Department of Industrial Design and the Tajimi City Pottery Design Institute. Her interest in the transformative effects of materials on space deepened through extensive research on glazes. She received the Mr. I Award in 2008 and the Grand Shu-Ou Foundation Award for Art Travel in 2012, which allowed her to visit Europe and Ecuador. She graduated from the Sculpture Department at the Karlsruhe State Academy of Fine Arts in Germany in 2020. Currently, she explores themes of material and space, creating sculptures with researched materials and installations incorporating technology. She exhibited her work and gave a talk at Kunsthalle Basel in 2023, and received the Abtart Prize and BW State Overseas Prize in Germany in 2024.
